Cette demande portait sur l\u2019utilisation du vaccin dans le cadre de l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie actuelle de maladie \u00e0 virus Bundibugyo. Le vaccin Ervebo est homologu\u00e9 et recommand\u00e9 pour une utilisation lors de flamb\u00e9es \u00e9pid\u00e9miques de maladie \u00e0 virus Ebola (anciennement appel\u00e9 ebolavirus Za\u00efre). Lundi, le GIC a inform\u00e9 le gouvernement de la RDC d\u2019une premi\u00e8re livraison imm\u00e9diate de 70 000 doses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cette allocation comprend 20 000 doses destin\u00e9es \u00e0 un essai clinique de phase III visant \u00e0 \u00e9valuer l\u2019impact du vaccin sur le virus Bundibugyo, et 50 000 doses pour les intervenantes et intervenants de premi\u00e8re ligne et les personnels de sant\u00e9, conform\u00e9ment aux recommandations actuelles du Groupe strat\u00e9gique consultatif d\u2019experts sur la vaccination (SAGE) de l\u2019OMS.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On ignore encore si le vaccin Ervebo prot\u00e8ge contre la souche Bundibugyo chez l\u2019humain, mais de premi\u00e8res donn\u00e9es en laboratoire et sur des animaux sugg\u00e8rent qu\u2019il pourrait offrir une certaine protection. Ainsi, l\u2019essai clinique devrait fournir de nouvelles donn\u00e9es importantes, indispensables aux d\u00e9cideurs pour orienter l\u2019utilisation future du vaccin Ervebo. Il est essentiel que les personnes \u00e0 qui le vaccin est propos\u00e9, que ce soit dans le cadre de l\u2019essai clinique ou en dehors, re\u00e7oivent des informations sur les risques, les avantages potentiels et les limites li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation du vaccin lors d\u2019une flamb\u00e9e de virus Bundibugyo, et qu\u2019elles soient en mesure de donner leur consentement \u00e9clair\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Les partenaires du GIC sont l\u2019OMS, la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration internationale des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge, M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res (MSF) et le Fonds des Nations Unies pour l&rsquo;enfance (UNICEF). Gavi, l\u2019Alliance du Vaccin, apporte le soutien financier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019OMS et les Centres africains de pr\u00e9vention et de contr\u00f4le des maladies (CDC-Afrique) saluent cette allocation de vaccins \u00e0 la RDC.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dans le contexte de l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie en cours, et sur la base des donn\u00e9es disponibles, l\u2019OMS et les CDC-Afrique soutiennent la strat\u00e9gie de la RDC visant \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger la population du pays et \u00e0 adopter une approche ax\u00e9e sur les communaut\u00e9s, qui permet \u00e0 ces derni\u00e8res de jouer un r\u00f4le central dans la riposte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Les CDC-Afrique et l\u2019OMS s\u2019unissent pour soutenir le gouvernement de la RDC, afin de prot\u00e9ger les communaut\u00e9s touch\u00e9es, de sauver des vies et de mettre fin \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de maladie d\u2019Ebola caus\u00e9e par le virus Bundibugyo, tout en produisant les preuves scientifiques n\u00e9cessaires pour renforcer la pr\u00e9paration de l\u2019Afrique \u00e0 de futures \u00e9pid\u00e9mies.<\/p>\n        <div class=\"booster-block booster-reactions-block\">\n            <div
