The 18th World Congress of Neurosurgery was held in Cape Town, South Africa, from December 4 to 8, 2023. The event brought together over 10,000 neurosurgeons from all over the world to discuss the latest advances in the field of neurosurgery.<\/p>\n

This year, Africa was particularly well represented at the congress. Over 1,000 African neurosurgeons attended the event, representing a 20% increase on the previous year. This growth is a sign of the positive evolution of neurosurgery in Africa. The continent has a growing number of qualified neurosurgeons, and neurosurgical training programs are expanding.<\/p>\n
