J’ai eu le Doctorat de m\u00e9decine le 03 mai 2017 \u00e0 la facult\u00e9 de m\u00e9decine de l’universit\u00e9 Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar.

Sp\u00e9cialisation en oncologie radioth\u00e9rapie
\u00e0 Dakar avec plusieurs voyages d’\u00e9tude: 1 semestre au Maroc (CHU
Hassan II de F\u00e8s), 3 ans en France \u00e0
l’nstitut Gustave Roussy ( c’est le 3eme meilleur hopital du monde et 1er h\u00f4pital de
traitement et de la recherche sur le
cancer).

Je suis chef de projet en recherche
translationnelle et clinique en
canc\u00e9rologie. J’ai travaill\u00e9 \u00e9galement \u00e0 l’institut du cancer de Montpellier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n



La Radioth\u00e9rapie en Afrique et au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal : <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Qu’est ce que la radioth\u00e9rapie ?

ll s’agit d’une modalit\u00e9 de traitement
des cancers utilisant les rayonnements
ionisants.

En ce qui concerne la place de la radioth\u00e9rapie dans l’oncologie en Afrique

Dans le monde, la radioth\u00e9rapie est
incontournable dans le traitement des
cancers. On estime \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 70 \u00e0 80%
des malades du cancer qui auront besoin
de cette modalit\u00e9 au cours de leurs
maladies pour leurs traitements.

De nombreux pays d’Afrique noire ne
disposent cependant pas de ce pilier th\u00e9rapeutique contre les cancers.

Au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal il y a 4 machines de radioth\u00e9rapie \u00e0 ce jour: 1 \u00e0 I’hopital dantec (ferm\u00e9 pour construction); 2 \u00e0 l’hopital Dalal jamm et 1 \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital de Touba (mais pas encore fonctionnel).

Les perspectives

De plus en plus, les gouvernements ont
compris la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de se doter des
meilleures modalit\u00e9s et techniques de
traitement surtout avec la pand\u00e9mie Covid
qui a ouvert les yeux \u00e0 beaucoup de nos
pays sur la situation de nos h\u00f4pitaux.

Les projets de construction de centres
d’oncologie sont en cours. Si je prends
l’exemple du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal que je connais
mieux, l’\u00e9tat est entrain de construire le
centre national d’oncologie, la clinique de
l’h\u00f4pital principal et l’h\u00f4pital le dantec.
Dans toutes ces structures il y aura au
moins 2 machines de radioth\u00e9rapie .
